Camping at Obsidian Campground

This past July we went camping at Obsidian Campground. From Bridgeport you take highway 395 North for about 16 miles and then turn left on Little Walker River Road and drive a few more miles to get to the campground. It was beautiful, shaded by aspen trees and near Molybdenite Creek.

The creek is stocked with trout so the boys did some fishing.

There are several different day hikes you can do from this campground. We hiked to Emma Lake one day. It was about one mile to the lake from the trail head but a lot of uphill.

Why does food always taste so much better in the mountains?
I really want to go back to this campground in the fall and camp under the turning aspen leaves.
